Phoebe bournei

Phoebe bournei is a national Class II key protected wild plant species of China, belonging to the Phoebe genus in the Lauraceae family. This large evergreen tree features a tall, straight trunk and aromatic, durable wood with beautiful grain patterns, prized for high-end construction, furniture, carvings, and shipbuilding. In Shennongjia, it is found along valley edges at elevations of 420--1,200 meters.
