UNESCO World Heritage List

Nature reserves are the core of establishing ecological civilization construction. They are a precious wealth of the Chinese nation and an important symbol of beautiful China. And they play a primary role in maintaining national ecological security. To establish a nature reserve system with national parks as the center is a major move in implementing President Xi Jinping's thoughts on ecological civilization and a major reform task put forward by the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Shennongjia has made significant achievements since the pilot project of establishing Shennongjia National Park started. However, due to historical reasons and current underdevelopment, we still see some unsatisfactory aspects in advancing the experimental construction of the national park. The Administration of Shennongjia National Park will take President Xi's thoughts on ecological civilization as a guide to strengthen the "four consciousnesses" and "four self-confidences", and ensure achievement of the "two maintenances". Shennongjia will seriously implement the decisions and deployments of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, continue to forge ahead, roll up sleeves and work hard. It shall endeavor to meet the challenges, solve the problems, and complete the tasks of piloting the Shennongjia National Park, so as to contribute to the national park system with an experience that can be promoted, replicated and used for reference.
