Agate Stone

The varicolored siliceous conglomerate in the upper part of Shicaohe Fm. of Shennongjia Group contains ellipsoidal pebbles, of which the major constituent is chalcedony. This kind of multicolored stone turns up hard and abrasion-resistant and its surface is fine and smooth, it is therefore colloquially called Agate Stone.
