Japalura flaviceps

Japalura flaviceps is a reptile of the genus Japalura, family Agamidae, endemic to China, and protected at the provincial level in Hubei Province. It feeds on larvae of locusts, wasps, butterflies, and insects such as longhorn beetle and polypods, and plays an important role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. It has a fierce temperament and will fight back when threatened.
