Leopard (Panthera pardus), a national Class I protected wildlife species under the Felidae family. A large carnivorous animal with a body length of 100-150 cm. Its body is covered with round or oval spots. Prefers solitary living, often active at night, resting in trees or caves during the day. Agile in movement, adept at climbing trees and jumping, but dislikes swimming. Inhabits various environments including mountain forests, hilly shrublands, and desert grasslands. The Shennongjia region also has a historical legend about "Chen Chuanxiang fighting a leopard."
