Golden Kaiserihind (Teinopalpus aureus), a species of the genus Teinopalpus in the family Papilionidae, is endemic to China and classified as a national Class I protected wildlife species, honored as the "National Butterfly." This large swallowtail butterfly has a wingspan of 100 mm, with curved golden-green bands on the forewings and a golden-yellow patch in the center of the hindwings. Renowned for its graceful flight, it is hailed as the "Queen of Butterflies" and is among the world's rarest butterfly species. Its habitat consists of mixed evergreen and deciduous broadleaf forests at elevations around 1,000 meters. The larvae primarily feed on plants of the Magnoliaceae family, while adults prefer nectar from flowers of the Ericaceae family.
