Huo Qianlong, an Outstanding Volunteer of Shennongjia Popularizes Science in Primary School

On March 28, 2023, Huo Qianlong, an outstanding science popularization volunteer of Shennongjia National Park, gave a vivid and lively popular science lecture to more than 200 teachers and students of the No.27 Primary School in Optics Valley, Wuhan.
In his lecture, Huo introduced Shennongjia’s geographical position, historical transition, unique resources, and cultural endowments from four aspects: “Profile of Shennongjia”, “Magical Treasures”, “Beautiful Wetland” and “Protecting our Homeland”.
In order to help the teachers and students know more about Shennongjia, Huo actively interacted with them, answered their questions, and invited them to visit Shennongjia to feel the beauty of nature in person.
As a member of the science popularization volunteer training camp of Shennongjia National Park in 2019, Huo has always been an active volunteer committed to publicizing the popular science knowledge of Shennongjia and to spreading the concept of ecological civilization. In late 2020, Huo was named by the Administration of Shennongjia National Park as an “outstanding science popularization volunteer” and granted the right to visit the Park free of charge for life.
