Pan Shulan, an associate professor at the School of Tourism and Hotel Management of Hubei University of Economics, gave lectures on Shennongjia National Park to teachers and students and shared popular science books of Shennongjia National Park in Wuchang Shouyi Middle School, Jiangxia Canglong No.2 Primary School, and Wuhan Meijia Foreign Languages School.
During her work at Shennongjia National Park in 2020, Prof. Pan fell deeply in love with this piece of green land and became a science popularization volunteer of Shennongjia National Park. In order to popularize the importance of ecological protection, Pan introduced the ecological environment and species protection of Shennongjia National Park in a pleasantly interactive way and in the form of field experience, as well as the ecosystem, the diversity of animals and plants, and the causes of the sphagnum swamp of Dajiuhu Wetland, , guiding the students through the beautiful scenery of Dajiuhu and the golden snub-nosed monkeys.
As one of the first national popular science education bases, Shennongjia National Park has long been devoted to ecological research, conservation and nature education. Centering around natural popular science education, golden snub-nosed monkeys, wetland, geology and plant diversity, the Park has compiled ¡°Study Tour in Shennongjia National Park¡± book series including National Treasure Golden Snub-nosed Monkey and Dajiuhu Wetland Explorer, in order to enable the public to fully understand Shennongjia¡¯s biodiversity resources and ecological values, actively participate in the practice of nature education, and consciously establish the concept of ecological protection.
