Picea neoveitchii is a national Class II key protected wild plant species of China, belonging to the Picea genus in the Pinaceae family. This evergreen conifer holds scientific significance for studying flora, taxonomy of the genus, and species conservation. Its population exhibits a declining age structure with scarce saplings, indicating severe endangerment, necessitating intensified conservation efforts. In Shennongjia, it is distributed in areas such as Muyu, Dajiuhu, and Shennongding at elevations of 1,300--2,000 meters.
